About The COLORS of HOPE

Our History

The Columbia Basin's Walk to End Alzheimer's birthed "the Colors of Hope" in 2023.

Children and their families decorated 10 city blocks which was the primary body of the walk. This art piece was dedicated to those who walked in the Walk to End Alzheimer's, offering inspiration, joy and of course COLOR!

The last leg of the walk, "A Walk to Remember", was hailed as "sacred" , respectfully reserved for those who "walk". Their participation is the final touch to the masterpiece, as they use the chalk to sign the names of who they are walking for. It is regarded as the completion of the art, like that of the artist signing off on their work.

Our Mission

Today our children and grandchildren have a better chance of having Alzheimer's and other dementias in their elder years, than winning $25 on a single purchase scratch lottery ticket.... this is unacceptable, and speaking for every mom, dad, grandpa and the memaws of the world... not on our watch!!!

The COLORS of HOPE was always meant to run through the nation like wildfire, gathering as many "Walk

For us, the COLORS of HOPE was a sidewalk chalk project for the Walk to End Alzheimer's.... why stop there?

It'll make for the perfect fundraising event as well.
